Adolfo Corrado Bass

Biography

Trained at the Augusto Zucchi School of Theatre and Cinema in Rome, the Tito Schipa Conservatory in Lecce, and the Accademia del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Adolfo Corrado is a prizewinner of the 2023 BBC Cardiff Singer of the World competition. He has also won the Toti Dal Monte and As.Li.Co. competitions and performs on stages such as the Arena di Verona, La Scala in Milan, La Fenice in Venice, the Teatro Regio in Turin, the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari, the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía in Valencia, the Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse, the Royal Opera of Wallonia, and the Opéra de Rouen. He collaborates with conductors including Daniel Oren, Zubin Mehta, Maurizio Benini, Gianandrea Noseda, Daniele Gatti, Jordi Bernàcer, Stefano Montanari, and Nikolas Nägele.

During the 2025–2026 season, he performs the roles of Banco (Macbeth) in Busseto, Sparafucile (Rigoletto) and Ferrando (Il trovatore) in Piacenza, Alidoro (La Cenerentola) in Baden-Baden, Raymond Bidebent (Lucia di Lammermoor) and Count Rodolfo (La sonnambula) in concert versions at the Tiroler Festspiele Erl, Figaro (The Marriage of Figaro) in Cologne, Timur (Turandot) in Milan, and Colline (La Bohème) in Torre del Lago.
