Encouraging Artistic Practice Among Young Students from Priority Education Networks
Launched in 1991 in partnership with the French Ministry of Education, Ten Months of School and Opera offers each season students enrolled in priority education networks the opportunity to participate in an artistic practice program and explore the world of the Opera, engaging directly with the institution’s artists and professionals.

Each year, two classes—one from the Versailles Academy and one from the Paris Academy—are selected to participate in a special program: the “performance classes.” These classes come together at the Opera for immersive days to create a show performed at the Amphitheatre of the Opéra Bastille in June. Vocational high school classes specializing in costumes, hair, and makeup also take part in the production.
