Accessibility
The Palais Garnier and Bastille Opera are accessible to anyone with access needs. These dedicated seats can accommodate our spectators in different seating categories and according to their needs. Upon presentation of a valid document, a 30% discount will be applied to tickets bought for disabled people and their companion.
Please note that to guarantee access to specific seats, reservations must be made at least 15 days before the performance of your choice.
At the Palais Garnier, access to tours or performances is via the Box office, at the corner of the rue Scribe and rue Auber (behind Charles Garnier’s statue). An elevator will take you up to the auditorium or visiting spaces.

At the Bastille Opera, access to tours or performances is via the main entrance, on the Bastille Square (Place de la Bastille, entrance to the right of the grand staircase). Elevators will take you up to the auditorium, on the floor and location of your seat.

The nearest car park is Q-Park Opéra Bastille - 1 Avenue Daumesnil - 75012 Paris. D PRM parking spaces are available.
To improve the comfort of our spectators with reduced mobility, wheelchairs are available (ID card requested) at the reception desks in our venues. Please note that the Accessibility Department needs to be notified in advance (subject to availability).
Accessible toilets are available on every floor of our venues.
Guide dogs and assistance dogs are welcome everywhere in the Paris Opera.
The Palais Garnier and the Opéra Bastille (Grande salle and Amphithéâtre Olivier Messiaen) have specific and dedicated areas to accommodate our spectators in different seating categories and according to their needs.
All the performances staged at the Paris Opera (except Gala or special Arop evenings and Studio Bastille programming) are accessible to people with reduced mobility.
The Paris Opera holds special “Relax” performances, which guarantee a kind and inclusive welcome system to facilitate theatre visits to the disabled persons (autism, multiple disabilities, mental disability, Alzheimer's disease…) whose handicap can cause atypical or unpredictable behaviours during the performance.
Both the audience and the artists are informed before the performance and the usual codes are less strict to ensure that everyone can enjoy the show and fully live their emotions, without fear of being judged.
For these performances, the welcoming staff is larger and aware of all types of disability.
