Opera gift box

With our gift box you can give the special people in your life a unique experience at the Opera.

The gift box includes:

  • Tickets for a performance to one of the three major classical works on the bill at the Opéra Bastille in 2018: The Barber of Seville, Romeo and Juliet or Il Trovatore.
    The gift boxes are available in seat categories 1 to 5. The selected date may be changed once at the request of the beneficiary.
  • A “gift” voucher which can be exchanged for a performance programme, some complementary glasses of champagne, free tickets valid for one year to visit the Palais Garnier and a Paris Opera tote bag.

These items will be delivered or presented to you in a special gift box.

The price of the gift box may vary depending on the performance and seat category selected.

Reception and user instructions

In the case of an online or telephone purchase, your gift box will be sent by regular post (€4) or registered letter (€8) or it will be handed over directly if purchased at the box office. The gift box contains the performance tickets and a “gift” voucher. The gift voucher must be presented by the beneficiary on the day of the performance* in the boutique of the Opéra Bastille, located in the entrance hall and exchanged for the various gifts: a performance programme, two tickets to visit the Palais Garnier, a tote bag as well as a ticket for two complementary glasses of champagne” that may be used at the bar during the entr’acte.

 * 45 minutes before the start of the performance.

  • At the box offices of the Palais Garnier from 20 November (on the corner of Rue Scribe and Rue Auber - 75009 Paris) or the Opéra Bastille (130 rue de Lyon-75012 Paris), from Monday through Saturday from 11:30 am to 6:30 pm (except public holidays).
  • By telephone on 08 92 89 90 90 (net cost €0.35 /min - operator surcharges may apply), from Monday through Saturday from 9 am to 7 pm (except public holidays).

General Terms of Sale

The Opera gift box is only valid for the reserved performance that was chosen from a selection of performances. It cannot be returned or refunded. In the event of loss or theft no replacement will be issued.
The date of the performance that was chosen at the time of purchase may be changed once only (free of charge) at the request of the beneficiary of the gift box, subject to availability in the same seat category. The beneficiary of the gift box cannot exchange the tickets for a different production other than the one chosen by the purchaser.
The practical means of acquiring and using the performance tickets purchased as part of an Opera gift box are subject to the most recent version of the Paris Opera’s General Terms of Sale. A copy of the Paris Opera’s General Terms of Sale may be obtained from the theatre box offices or downloaded from operadeparis.fr.
