Synopsis
Cyrille Dubois’ programme brings together four early-twentieth-century composers. Two British and American cycles, Songs of Travel by Ralph Vaughan-Williams and Samuel Barber’s Hermit Songs and a bouquet of some of the most beautiful melodies by two composers who, each in his own way, illustrates French sensitivity and the French spirit, F. Poulenc and L. Beydts.
