The 3e Scène s a digital platform dedicated to artistic creation and experimentation. All the artworks, inspired by the Paris Opera’s universe, have been created by visual artists, directors, composers, photographers, choreographers but also writers. Renowned artists such as Clément Cogitore, Bret Easton Ellis, Clémence Poésy, Bertrand Bonello or even Claude Lévêque have contributed to the 3e Scène since it was launched in 2015.
The 3e Scène is a digital platform to open up to a new generation and new audiences, while renewing the perception of the opera and the ballet by the public: it reaches out to new audiences who have little or no access to the Opera for economic, geographical or social reasons. In 2017, special events have been organized in order to broaden its reach: the first 3e Scène festival took place at the Gaîté lyrique in December 2017.
