Synopsis
Régine Chopinot is continuing her residency at the Paris Opera Academy with O U I #3. Throughout the season, a series of workshops led by Régine Chopinot will welcome young refugees, individuals learning French as a second language and the socially and economically vulnerable. Using a combination of dance, words and movement, the project aims to provide tools TO facilitate personal development and human and social fulfilment. It focuses on orality and movement and fosters an awareness of both the body and language—the language of a shared community as well as the expression of its uniqueness. Taming the body, rediscovering its unity, identifying its place in the surrounding space. In March 2022 a public performance at the Amphithéâtre Olivier Messiaen of Bastille Opera, will mark the end of a week of creative workshops. That evening will also be the occasion to discover the first images of Jean-Baptiste Warluzel’s new documentary in the presence of the artists.
