Developing a distribution model that allows for fair remuneration of artists and creation.

The project

Creation of a streaming platform bringing together all of the Paris Opera's audiovisual content (recordings of performances, 3e Scène short films, Masterclasses, etc.), accessible in France and throughout the world.
This platform will be continuously enriched in order to eventually offer a subscription formula giving access to a wide range of content.
Thanks to the creation of an internal production studio and the equipping of its theatres with recording equipment, the Paris Opera could multiply the number of annual recordings by supplementing those carried out with the support of TV channels and the CNC ( Centre National du Cinéma ) with a new offer with its own production resources.

The Paris Opera's performances have been shown in over 100,000 cinemas (2019-2020 figures) in 700 partner cinemas worldwide.
Every summer, the Opera offers its performances to cities that wish to organise free screenings, preferably in the open air. This 'Summer Opera' operation brought together 26 venues, for a total of 39 dates, in 2020.
Re-broadcast and VOD achieve up to 600,000 views per show.
