A health centre for dancers

Training and supporting high level artists.

Development of the medical team created in 2015 and creation of a dance health centre for :
  • Comprehensive multidisciplinary care for the 154 dancers of the Paris Opera and the 150 students of the Dance School ;
  • Prevent and reduce the risk of injury.
  • Support dancers in sport psychology, mental and physical preparation.    .
  • Implementing scientific research and sharing it with other institutions.

The project

The development of the dance health centre could take place in three stages:

  • Consolidation of the current service and the network of partners: increase in shift hours, start of mental preparation, INSEP partnership...
  • Expansion of the premises dedicated to the health service, purchase of state-of-the-art equipment. creation of a complete medical staff, integration of the Dance School in this process
  • Scientific research, organisation of a congress and sharing of results with other actors in the world of professional dance.
