The Paris Opera’s 3e Scène invited filmmaker Danielle Arbid to cast a critical eye upon the event “Fous de danse”, an undisciplined, multidisciplinary dance festival created by Boris Charmatz at the CENTQUATRE in Paris. Le Feu au cœur is the result of that "carte blanche" invitation. The film is an accident, a miracle, and an encounter: the director discovers young hip-hop dancers, all pupils from Paris' Lycée Turgot, and is captivated by their boldness and ability to set the camera aglow. In this interview, Danielle Arbid talks about the novelty and the beauty of the encounter, her way of filming dance and her relationship with opera.
