The troupe of artists and technicians La Comète settled in the 6th underground level of the Opéra Bastille to create a unique experience at the crossroads of theater, cinema and music.
Adieu Bohème, a "metacinema" project conceived at the invitation of the 3rd Stage of the Paris Opera, was filmed and broadcast live on October 27th. A remastered version is now available online.
For this project, the duo of directors Jeanne Frenkel and Cosme Castro invited the musicians Flavien Berger and Lou Rotzinger to compose the soundtrack of the film live based on a air from La Bohème by Puccini. With Adieu Bohème, La Comète sets in motion its “dream factory” to tell with humor and poetry a story of love and loss taking place in Paris.
Jeanne Frenkel, Cosme Castro, Flavien Berger and Lou Rotzinger evoke in this interview the genesis of this extraordinary project, their friendly and artistic reunion and their relationship to opera.
