Astrid Eliard

Astrid Eliard is a literary critic, writer and teacher. Her first collection of short stories, Nuit de noces, was published by Mercure in France in 2010 (SGDL Grand Prix for short stories). Her latest novel, Danser (2016, awarded the Literary Prize by the town of Arcachon and the Marcel Pagnol Prize), also published by Mercure, led her readers into the world of the little rats de l’Opéra, the youngest dancers, where already, the ideal of perfection must be reconciled with sordid reality.
