Read moreWith a PhD in Musicology from the University of Paris IV-Sorbonne, André Lischke has worked as a lecturer at the University of Évry since 2001. Specialising in Russian music, he is the author of a History of Russian music from its origins until the Revolution, several works on Tchaikovsky and Borodin and a guide to Russian opera which appeared in 2017. He has also translated Solomon Volkov’s Testimony, Dimitri Shostakovitch’s memoires and Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s Chronicle of my Musical Life…
