Former dancer and artistic collaborator of the Batsheva Dance Company, Sharon Eyal reinterprets one of the Ballets Russes' most emblematic works, L'Après-midi d'un faune, in her first creation for the dancers of the Paris Opera Ballet. She talks to Octave magazine about Nijinsky's original piece, for which she returns to Debussy's music. Having trained in Ohad Naharin's gaga language, the Israeli choreographer combines images borrowed from Nijinsky with her own minimalist and sensual style, in a creation she imagines as a silent drama.
