Synopsis

A little girl with only her doll for company, manages the impossible: to triumph over Baba Yaga, the evil ogress holding her captive. This clash between two characters explores the beauty and ugliness which hides in the shadows along the road to maturity. The famous Russian fairy tale, Vassilissa the Beautiful serves as a pretext for the Etant Donné Company to recount the transition from childhood to wisdom. Sometimes a girl, sometimes a witch, and surrounded by a space constantly changing through video projections, the dancer encourages us to use our imagination to follow her along her journey. Set to the enchanting music of Mussorgsky, this tale without words is a unique occasion for the youngest of audiences to discover the art of dance.
