Synopsis
A young princess, condemned by a wicked fairy to sleep for a hundred years is awakened by a kiss from Prince Charming… The tale, immortalised by Perrault, comes to life on stage and introduces the young audience to the richness of baroque dance. Béatrice Massin, who has been instrumental in the rediscovery of this long-forgotten art, sketches out a fascinating journey across the ages for the young Beauty. From Versailles, charmed by Lully's ballets, to Mozart's Imperial Vienna, the spirit of the baroque bursts forth, at once dazzling, at once sombre, until it ultimately fuses into contemporary dance.
