Synopsis
In counterpoint to the new production of La Damnation de Faust, the young Romanian soprano Andreea Soare has chosen the six melodies of Berlioz's Nuits d'été, one of the heights of the French repertoire where the force of Théophile Gautier's poetic evocations meets that of Berlioz's musical inspiration. In complement to the programme, a series of Berlioz melodies performed by the singers of the Atelier Lyrique.
