Aside from his role as a conductor, Philippe Jordan likes to sit at the piano to enjoy the pleasures of chamber music or to accompany singers. For this, a first at the Paris Opera, he plays with three musicians from the orchestra who make up the JB Vuillaume Trio. Together they will perform Brahms and the rare quartet from Mahler’s youth, while the strings alone will play Beethoven’s 5th trio.
