Francis Poulenc passed away fifty years ago. On the occasion of this anniversary, the young soloists of the Atelier Lyrique and the musicians of the Atelier Ostinato orchestra have the pleasure of paying tribute to one of the great masters of French melody, performing several famous pieces such as Le Bestiaireand Le Bal masqué. An opportunity to celebrate a composer who loved poetry and always excelled in striking a perfect and personal balance between music and poetry. In counterpoint to this programme, pieces by his composer friends Louis Durey (Trois chansons basques) and Samuel Barber (Dover Beach).
