On this Friday night took place the final round of Operalia Competition created by Placido Domingo in 1993 to award the young generation of opera singers.

After her interpretation of « Dieu ! quel frisson court dans mes veines » from Roméo and Juliette by Gounod, Adriana Gonzalez, soprano from Guatemala, was rewarded twice with opera and zarzuela first prices.

During the past season, the soprano, who was in residency at the Académie from 2015 to 2017, was Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus by Johann Strauss with the Académie and also took the role of Giannetta in L’Elisir d’amore on the stage of Bastille Opera. Next season, Adriana Gonzalez will be Micaëla at Zürich Opernhaus and the Countess from the Nozze di Figaro at the Opéra national de Lorraine.

Congratulations Adriana Gonzalez for these marvelous prices.
