Aged over 13


There are three admission possibilities for girls and boys aged from 13 to under 17 years old as of September 1st, 2013:

>Candidates with the certificates from the C.N.S.M.D.

>Candidates from Regional Conservatoires with the Choreographic studies diploma or the future National Diploma for professional orientation (Major in Ballet) in June 2014

>Winners of international contests and candidates between 13 and under as of September 1st 2013

There also are advanced training courses with admission fees.

Candidates with the certificates from the C.N.S.M.D.

>pupils from the C.N.S.M.D. of Paris possessing at least the certificate of dance (classical dance option) in June 2014,
>pupils from the C.N.S.M.D of Lyon possessing at least the certificate of dance (classical dance option) in June 2014,

After audition and on decision of the School Director assisted by three professors, they may be allowed to enter directly the first, second or third division of the School according to their ages and their aptitudes.

Audition requests must be addressed by post on July 1st, 2014 at the latest, specifying the teenager's date of birth and containing a stamped A5 envelope with the parents' address. The audition date will be sent later by post.

Candidates must fill out the file including:

a)    a certificate attesting the possession of the Choreographic studies Diploma or the National Diploma for professional orientation for Dancer.

b)    a school certificate attesting the study level in general education.

c)    a medical certificate attesting the ability to dance.

A preliminary selection will be done based on application file. Selected candidates will receive a notification for an audition in front of the School Director assisted by two teachers.

Audition requests must be addressed by post on July 1st, 2014 at the latest, specifying the teenager's date of birth and containing a stamped A5 envelope with the parents' address. The audition date will be sent later by post.

Selected candidates on the audition will be admitted as trainee for a year in the class corresponding to their levels.

Winners of international contests and candidates from 13 to under 17 years old as of September 1st, 2013

Winners of international contests and candidates between 13 and under 17 on September 1st, 2013 may exceptionally be allowed to enter the School.

A preliminary selection is made based on the application file. Selected candidates are called in for audition in front of the Director assisted by two teachers. Selected candidates on the audition will be admitted as trainee for a year in the class corresponding to their levels.

Requests for admission forms must be made between September 2nd, 2013 and February 10th 2014:

> By mail specifying the child's date of birth and including a stamped A5 envelope marked with the parents' address (or two stamped A5 envelopes with the address of each parent in the case of separation). An admission form will be sent to you by post or e-mail as of September 2nd, 2013.

Admission forms must be returned to us by post postmarked March 24th, 2014 at the latest with the 35€ registration fees.

Advanced training courses with admission fees

The Ballet School offers advanced training courses accessible by audition to candidates aged from 13 to under 17 years old eager to perfect their trainings and whose levels is high enough to follow courses in the class corresponding to their ages.

These advanced training courses may last one or several terms. Their duration cannot exceed two years. They do not give the right to take part in the in-house entrance competition to the Corps de Ballet. At the end of the training course, trainees receive a certificate certifying that they have successfully completed the course. Admission procedures and applications are thesame as those outlined in the preceding paragraph (winners of international contests).

Course rates for 2013-2014:

>The rates are as follows: 1st term: 1200 €; 2nd term: 800 €; 3rd term: 800 €. Teaching fees are due at the beginning of each term.

Full board and lodging rates for 2013/2014:

>The rate is 1305 € per term: each term started is due. (This rate includes lodging and full board during the week).

2013/2014 rates for half-board:

>150 € per month approximately (according to the month and price changes)
