Become a Patron of the Opera

The Paris Opera attaches key importance to corporate patronage in the realisation of its projects and the fulfilment of its missions. Without the commitment of companies, many initiatives could not be undertaken. Closely associated with the life of the Opera and brought together within the Cercle des entreprises mécènes (Circle of Corporate Patrons), these companies enjoy numerous benefits.

The Circle’s vocation

Becoming a member of the Opera’s "Cercle des entreprises mécènes" means not only working alongside one of the finest cultural institutions in France, but also contributing to its development and renown. By means of a minimum annual donation of 150,000€, at a cost of only 60,000€ after tax reductions, companies may join the Circle and enjoy the exclusive benefits that are reserved for its members.

Several ways to support the Opera

Each company may freely choose how to provide its support, which can take different forms:

> Financial sponsorship, if the company chooses, for example, to become a partner of one of the Opera’s opera or ballet productions by means of a donation

> Skills sponsorship, if the company undertakes to make its expertise freely available to the Paris Opera, for example in support of the restoration of elements of the Palais Garnier’s heritage

> Sponsorship in kind, if the corporate decides to donate its products

A privileged relationship with the Opera

By becoming a member of the Circle, a sponsoring company not only participates in the cultural life of the two theatres, but also in regular meetings of the Circle. Attended by the Director of the Opera and the Director of Dance, these meetings are designed to inform the Circle’s members about the artistic and budgetary policies of the institution.
