AROP 2012-2013 LYRIC AWARDS TO TWO YOUNG SINGERS
FROM THE PARIS OPERA'S "ATELIER LYRIQUE"

The prizegiving took place in the presence of
Monsieur Christian Schirm, Director the Paris Opera's "Atelier Lyrique"
Monsieur Jean-Louis Beffa, President of the Arop
Monsieur Léon Cligman, President of the "Cercle des Fondateurs de l’Atelier Lyrique"



The AROP lyric awards were presented on the stage of the Palais Garnier to two young singers selected after a vote by Arop members:

Andreea Soare, soprano
and
Kévin Amiel, tenor

L’Association pour le Rayonnement de l’Opéra national de Paris whose mission it is to support the Paris Opera pays particular attention to young artists. For this reason, since 1998, Arop has awarded two Lyric Prizes to a pair of young male and female singers who have particularly distinguished themselves during the season. These young singers are members of the Paris Opera's Atelier Lyrique directed by Christian Schirm since October 2011.
Each prize has a value of 5 000 €.

The prize giving was followed by a recital given by the soloists of the Atelier Lyrique who performed arias from works by Mozart, Massenet, Puccini and Gershwin,in front of an audience of 800 made up of AROP patrons and famous names from the world of music.
